Disturbed a large raptor in SW France about 4pm. Remains of red squirrel carcase wrapped around bramble. Set up cam trap to see if bird returned. Result: Goshawk about 6pm with a pine marten (not a much commoner stone marten) 15min later! Marten eventually freed carcase but returned at night (or perhaps another individual) as well as a fox.
